Adele, Tori Amos, Norah Jones, Christina Perri, Bonnie Raitt...I'm incredibly flattered to be compared to these artists by listeners, even though my writing and singing was influenced by much older artists. From the classical composers to Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, to the Beatles, Jim Croce, Eric Clapton, etc. to world music, and basically anything I could get my hands on before YouTube came around, I soaked in the greats. I chose this small collection for my first release because the songs are so different from each other, but equally represent me as an artist and songwriter. I have a love for music that keeps me constantly inspired by all genres, which has influenced my writing over the years, so this is an introduction to what has been created from that. If you took a handful of pieces of my soul, which is complicated, passionate, and full of love, this is what you would get. I hope you enjoy it!
